Looking out over the Coral Sea on a calm Thursday afternoon, there was no disputing the venue for Coral Sea Marina’s inaugural Platinum Crew Club Long Lunch was spectacular.
The Rocks Restaurant, Bar and Pool Club located at the Coral Sea Resort provided the perfect intimate setting for captains and crew to come together and enjoy a relaxed Whitsunday afternoon of great food, good company and some much-needed down-time.
Captains and crew were treated to good wine and a sumptuous 6-course degustation lunch, serving overlooking the Whitsunday islands, as the conversation flowed throughout the afternoon. Thanks to event partners Gold Coast City Marina and Shipyard and Benetti Yachts the table was set with unique branded gifts and each attendee left with a Platinum Crew Club goodie bag.
By partnering with key industry stakeholders on the Platinum Crew Club’s events, the team at Coral Sea Marina aim to better connect crew in the superyacht industry across Australia. Strengthening industry ties, creating meaningful conversations about the growth of the superyacht industry and providing a relaxed setting for crew to connect with other industry professionals were the focus of the day, as many of the crew enjoyed a rare day off from their busy domestic charter season.
The Platinum Crew Club is an initiative of Coral Sea Marina designed to provide crew visiting the Whitsundays with an immersive and engaging marina experience during their time at the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. Through hosting crew events, immersing the crew in the Whitsunday way of life and creating a supportive Superyacht crew community, the hope for the Platinum Crew Club is for members to become advocates, across the globe, for this un-tapped yachting paradise.
Membership of the Coral Sea Marina Platinum Crew Club is free and is open to any superyacht crew. Click here to sign up – https://mailchi.mp/csmr/platinum-crew-club
