Yesterday we proudly hosted our fourth annual Platinum Crew Club Golf Day at the stunning Whitsunday Green golf club, where over 50 enthusiastic crew members came together for a day of friendly competition, camaraderie, and unforgettable fun.

Costumes, Competition, and Crew Spirit
The Platinum Crew Club Golf Day has always been about more than golf—and this year, the crew costumes were the best yet. Laughter filled the course as players showed off their creativity, making the day as entertaining off the green as it was on it.
The format followed a 9-hole Ambrose-style tournament, keeping the pace lively and team spirit high. Along the way, players competed for fun prizes including:
- Best on Ground: Belle/ Kimojo
- Best Dressed Team: Impulsive
- Worst Dressed Player: Nigel (DeLilse III)
- Best Dressed Player: Jack (Kimojo)
- Worst on Ground: Lumir
- Worst Outfit for the Heat: Sumo
- Hole of the Day: Siobhan (Sumo)
Delicious Lunch and Heated Competition
Midday, everyone gathered to enjoy a delicious BBQ club lunch, recharging for the afternoon ahead.
One of the highlights of the day was the ‘Closest to the Pin’ competition, generously sponsored by Chapman Yachting. Held after lunch, it became a hotly contested battle that kept the excitement high right through to the finish of the day. The winner of this year’s closest to the pin was Tye from yacht Lumir – a late player in the competition, Tye tackled the challenge with finesse! Once the winner was announced, crew were safely transferred back to the marina by the reliable team at Heart of the Reef Shuttles.
A Venue to Remember
As corporate members of Whitsunday Green Golf Club, we couldn’t have asked for a better venue. The immaculate greens, welcoming atmosphere, and beautiful Whitsundays backdrop set the perfect stage for a day that truly celebrated crew life and community.
