Coral Sea Marina has once again been recognised for tourism excellence, taking home Gold in the Attractions category at the 2026 Whitsunday Tourism Awards, marking back-to-back wins in this category.
The award reinforces Coral Sea Marina’s reputation as a leading tourism destination in the Whitsundays, recognising its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences, world-class facilities and sustainable tourism practices.
With winners determined by independent performance measures rather than traditional written submissions, these awards place guest experiences and business performance at the forefront of the recognition.
Each business was assessed out of a possible 220 points, combining its Best of Queensland score with its Global Review Index (GRI). The Best of Queensland score considers key indicators such as positive guest reviews, industry accreditation and sustainability certifications, while the Global Review Index measures a business’s online reputation based on guest feedback across multiple review platforms.
This independent, data-driven approach makes the recognition particularly significant, reflecting the experiences of visitors and the high standards maintained by tourism operators across the region.
As Queensland’s first 5 Gold Anchor Platinum accredited marina and a Sustainable Tourism Certified business, Coral Sea Marina continues to lead the way in premium marina experiences, with a strong focus on exceptional service, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement.
The evening was also a celebration of the exceptional tourism and hospitality businesses that call Coral Sea Marina home, with marina-based operators recognised across multiple award categories.
